“Where Two Rivers Join” - Part modern tree house, part vintage tiny house, it’s the place to experience the airiness of life up among the trees. This unique abode, with its wood-fired cedar hot tub, is perched atop a 21-acre wooded hill sloping to dramatic river views. The dwelling consists of two elevated structures connected by a private deck, and accessed by a spiral staircase. Riverviews from the hot tub are a kind of perfection.
The first structure is a bedroom, with an entire wall of south facing windows, affording stunning river views. Includes king size bed (or two twin beds upon request).
The second structure includes a small kitchen and small dining area with large windows for water views, a small full bathroom, and a screened-in porch with sitting area, and river views. Kitchen includes: two-burner stove, sink, small fridge, pots, pans, dishes, toaster oven (no regular oven).
Both structures have views across a river bay, and down river to where the Back River meets the Kennebec River (hence "Madawaska") just before both flow into open ocean, past Seguin Island (where George Washington commissioned a lighthouse).
Canoes and kayaks are available to use at any time in the Back River (no fee).

Absolutely beautiful
We have never stayed in a treehouse before, but this experience was nothing short of magical. Nestled among the whispering leaves and dancing sunlight, the treehouse offered the perfect retreat from the busyness of everyday life. Every detail, from the thoughtfully crafted interior to the serene surroundings, reflected care and creativity. We are feeling completely recharged and deeply rested, as if the forest had gently restored our spirits. Thank you for creating such a beautiful, peaceful place. A top stay in the treetops
We loved our time at Seguin so much, we came back for a second stay and could not be happier we did so. The treehouse dwellings have everything you need for an unplugged retreat in nature, while still having the amenities of a gorgeous room with a view, wood-fired hot tub for long days of soaking while taking in the foliage and wildlife, access to kayaks, the option of a private yoga session with Ida (highly recommend!), and much more. Seguin tree dwellings is one of our favorite places to stay, and we would recommend to anyone looking for a serene experience in a beautiful setting.
Wonderful
Staying at the treehouse was akin to four days in paradise. We loved it. The accommodations were just right for focusing our attention on living simply and being with each other. The bed was super comfortable and the view was amazing. The hot tub was sublime. We were in it most mornings and evenings and especially loved watching the stars and listening to the owls late while soaking late into the night. The screened in porch - with the pass through from the kitchen - made for a very nice place to have our meals. Kayaking up the Back river was a great way to spend time at the golden hour. The almost-hidden trail down by the marsh was a great place for our morning walks. A note about fun things to do: Loved walking all the way around Reid Park beach to a quiet place for a swim, hiked out the Audobon trail to an extension on Nature Conservancy land (see All Trails) to a wonderful spot on the river for another swim, and don't miss the local coppersmith or Georgetown pottery - both local gems. A bit further afield - check out the Trolls at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and explore the hiking trails they have there as well. So much joy in such a wonderful place.
Absolutely beautiful
I have to say I apologize for not leaving this review sooner. I hadn’t logged back into air bnb in over a year. Let me say, I so much enjoyed this stay that I felt I absolutely needed to leave a review, even late. My girlfriend and myself stayed for a couple nights in this spectacular tree house and it was magical. Clean and well kept, with amazing amenities and unbelievable views. The bedroom was beautiful, the kitchen and bathroom were perfect. The screened in porch and the wood fire hot tub were unbeatable. I will be looking to book again and hopefully there is some availability because this is my favorite place to spend a couple relaxing nights. Thank you so much to our host for being so amazing. Best Trip Ever
I took my husband here for his birthday, and it was the best trip we have ever been on. It was so beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, romantic, and fun. This place can satisfy every trip you are looking for, whether it is a relaxing spa trip in the hot tub, an extremely glamorous camping experience, or something in between. It was an amazing experience, we cannot wait to come back.

Our stay was perfect! Waking to a snowy morning, learning the area, the hot tub steaming away in the evening all helped to create a peaceful, rejuvenating and inspiring stay! The care and attention to the structure elected the forest around us!! Would love to return!!!
Madawaska Tree Houses
Such a lovely 3 day stay for a couple who doesn’t see each other much. I ended up getting pretty sick the first night & was sick the whole trip, so i definitely want to come back, but the surrounding nature made it all worth it. My boyfriend and i had a wonderful stay and the seguin team was super responsive and easy to work with! We will be back!
Wonderful place
Serene setting with an amazing view. Comfortable while being right in the trees. Exactly what we were looking for. Great to have the option of preparing simple meals there so we didn't have to leave too often. Happy we chose to spend 5 nights.
